Easy homemade goo like substance.

I wanted to give Madelyn something fun to smear around and get messy with one day (which she could also eat since everything goes into her mouth!). We have made fingerpaints before but we were out of cornstarch (you can do so many fun things with kids btw with just cornstarch and water).  So I simply mixed some flour and water until it was a good consistency and added some food coloring. She had a great time making a mess and dripping it on her feet. She was a little concerned when it started drying on her feet though and she kept wiggling her toes trying to figure out what was happening.  She then decided she really didn't like the feeling of it being dried on her so I just stuck her in the bathtub, easy cleanup!
